What do I do? Feeding tube or somehow learn to live with this?...

New Feeding Tube: questions???
Hello, I have Kyphoscoliosis type Ehlers-Danlos (type VI) and just had a GJ feeding tube placed last Monday (10/31) after losing my ability to swallow correctly resulting in aspiration, choking, coughing & inability to get more than 8 oz of liquid nutrition in each day. clogged feeding tubes
We were told to use coke a cola to clear tube. It worked with alot of pressure,but we were told it would take a couple of hours and we decided to really push and it took 20 minutes.I dont think we did any harm to the tubing,but I guess u can rupture it if pressure is too great. Does anyone have any other ideas? thanks Deb

Dangers of using probiotics via a stomach g-tube
I am new to tube feeding my husband, who has multiple complications following spine surgery. My newest concern has to do with giving probiotics via a stomach g-tube. Tube feeds and blenders
My husband has a 20 f feeding tube and although we have tried many commercial feeds, eg boost ensure, he feels very uncomfortable afterwards. Our doctor is reluctant to encourage blenderised feeding and we are concerned that the blender we are using does not blend the food fine enough.
